RADEON HD 2600 XT DRIVER UPGRADE
I have recommended to the IT department at work -a division of over 3000 ppl- to NOT upgrade to Windows 10, for one simple reason- all of the items that break after updates. Is this planned obsolescence through forced updates? What is the next step that I can take to correct the TDR Stopcode error? The website that the stopcode refers me to is useless, a round of questions ending up at the same result. I only have one GPU installed in this PC. However the TDR stopcode error remains after sleeping and wake. The KB4057291 has updated to a working driver, GPU was working fine until the Fall Creators update that botched the display driver. I do not see any portion of the solution that ErwinJames San has posted that addresses this related issue. I do not receive the error from a cold boot. I am able to recreate the issue by allowing the computer to sleep or sleeping it and waking it. Video TDR Stopcode error with driver 8.970.100.9001 on an ATI HD 2600 XT, on a Dell XPS 420. My outstanding problem is the same as GuzTX is stating. I am able to run dual monitors at the correct resolution.
I have reinstalled the driver a few times, once with Windows Update KB4057291, it has corrected the driver issue.
